We are not alone!
When you are looking at the enormous amount of grains of sand on the
beach, it seems empty space. Looking at them more closely you can
see a vast amount of life.
The same is valid in the case of the universe. To date astrophysisists are discovering more and more so-called exoplanets. At this moment, January 2012, more than 550 exoplanets are identified, of which one, Gliese 581xC, is known to find itself in the for humans habitable zone around the central star.
This list is an effort to classify sentient life on this and other planets. However, I need your co-operation. For obvious reasons, this list cannot ever become complete. So do not hesitate. If you have
new and/or other information, please mail it to Running Fox
to make this list as up to date as possible.

A few words about the
fascination world of astronomy:
Scientists classify the stars in e.g. red dwarfs (which are sometimes
smaller that Earth, but have a density so that a piece of paper
will way about 500 pounds there. Then there are the ‘normal’
stars that radiate yellow light. G2 is an agreed value within
the range of colours. The yellow stars, of which the sun is
one of the smallest are the most numerous. When they have used
up all of their energy at the end of their life, they expand,
(because of losing their gravity) become red giants often first
and then explode in an enormous eruption that is called nova,
with which the contingent planets that are around it are being
swallowed. Such novae are being observed regularly (approximately
one in two centuries) and appear at the sky as a very bright
star. The star of Bethlehem probably was such a nova. In later
centuries once in a while novae were seen, the last about 150
years ago.
